September 21,2009, in violation of the protective order, that I managed to get with only a p.o.box address, he calls me. He is 'on his way.' I call non-emergency police, and report it. The judge said "no exceptions. " This includes phone calls. I am checking doors, blinds, bringing the dog inside with me. My daughter calls me, he has picked her up from school, and they are coming by here. I tell her, " your father does not need to be here.-what part of no contact does he not understand?" The police have circled my cul-d-sac several times, in case he does come back. They miss them by seconds. My daughter is mad at me now, I tried to warn her. Life isn't fair sometimes, but I will not quit the fight. Not for myself, and not for others. I have been assured that he will be physically served in circuit court today, where he is attempting to get custody of our twin girls. They are scared of him. I won't allow him to ruin their souls as he did mine, for so long.
September 23, 2009 Strong today! Loving life.
September 15, 2009, 29 year old is gunned down by her ex-fiance.
A prominent, Kentucky, republican, politician, Steve Nunn gunned her down in her gated community home. He was in violation of a protective order. She was scared, and knew he'd come for her. He did, and now she's gone. Steve Nunn was ordered to turn his guns in prior to this and didn't. He also had a history of abuse on Amanda. I share this because it makes me so mad. She did everything she could do to protect herself, even took self defense classes. Once again, our judicial system fails, and a young life is lost.
